What is the Nurse Next Door culture?

I love what I do. I love being a nurse. I
really like and enjoy meeting new people and I care about people. Going into
someone’s home and just putting all your own thoughts aside and opening yourself
up to to what they have to say… That will resonate when and how you can
help them. Thank you for calling Nurse Next Door.
This is Maya speaking. How can I make you happier today? What kind of service are you looking at potentially setting up for your mother? There’s really great kind people that
work at Nurse Next Door, whether it’s a caregiver, a franchise partner someone
here at HeartQuarters. The culture lives inside of them. On my best day
at work, I’m happy. I’m excited and I feel fulfilled. When you’re in an environment
where everyone is working towards helping someone, the energy is very
contagious. We keep each other motivated and it’s a great system to have. To have,
you know, your sister, your best friend that’s there to give you advice and help
you. So once a day, we host a ten-minute meeting company-wide that everyone
attends and it’s an opportunity, not only, to learn about what’s going on in the
organization and to stay up-to-date on the latest news, but it’s also an
opportunity to recognize. And that opportunity gets taken daily, we share
good news but it doesn’t necessarily have to be good news about the business
it can be good personal news and everyone will cheer for you. You
really have to care about people. And when you look at, you know, WOW customer experience, passionate about making a difference, admire people, finding a
better way… those really come back to the foundation of people caring about making
a difference in someone else’s life. But if you don’t have in your heart that you
want to provide WOW customer experience each and every day with every
interaction. No matter who you are in Nurse Next Door, it’s really hard to say
here are the words. You have to feel it in your heart. Maybe what you thought was
going to be a good way to do things evolves over time. One month this is what
they needed and then six months down the road you know what this isn’t working.
Maybe we need to find a different way or other way to help care for you. When you
have franchise owners in different cities across the country all out there
finding new ways to deliver care and and and to really affect someone’s life and
we share that information. We all become better because of it. My dad
actually had a stroke and it resulted in him eventually transitioning into a
long-term care setting. That experience that I went through with my family
really allowed me to be in the shoes of the people who are calling us every day.
As a trainer and as a team lead instilling that in the specialist as
well letting them understand that “Hey at the end of the day, what you’re doing is
life changing!” I always say we’re bold. We’re bold and we’re disruptive. When you think back to John and Ken starting this company and here are
two men who drive around in pink cars and they were disruptive. I think
that that’s part of the culture here and part of what makes it really special
