hi everyone thanks for joining me today in today's video we're going to do something a little bit different instead of making illuminant project I'm going to tell you about a volunteer opportunity that I have just recently hooked up with and it is called handmade Brigade is that organization and what they do is make scarves and hats for our military and our vets I will list everything that you need to know in the description box below the website the contact name any other information I can think of I think this is a really great opportunity I know a lot of people like to knit for charity and worthy causes and what better what better thing to do then knit a hat or scarf for our military in our vets so what a great way to say thank you so again I will list the information below and I'm really excited to get started with this project and I hope you are too and you leave me a message below if you have any questions or problems and again I will hook you up with the website where you can sign up to be a volunteer and they will immediately give you an email back describing what you need as far as the address the yarns and they're not real strict on their pattern so if you have a pattern you like and you want to make it all they ask are specific colors which they explain on their website so I'm just gonna use my 41 peg loom and today I went out and got my first skein of yarn this is red heart Super Saver and all of the yarn that they want you to use should be made in the US so if you see the little flag and this is just a number 4 medium but again I'm going to use it with my 41 peg loom and the color is camouflage so perfect so I just wanted to get on here and tell you about this fabulous opportunity and hopefully you'll join too and make a few hats to send in of your own I also wanted to mention that you can knit crochet or loom at these hats and I have some very easy loom knit patterns on my youtube channel that I will list in the box below so I just wanted to mention that so I thank you for watching and I will see you at the next video bye

  2. Thank you Gina. Vets have been through so much, and if I can knit them a hat or scarf, I'll take a few requests and make someone's life a little brighter and warmer. I have knitted quite a few hat patterns that are gender neutral that I think most people would enjoy. Plus what I create is with love and thought. Hugs.
