no matter where you live in waa you can help give back to your community by becoming a San John Ambulance volunteer there are 160 cynjohn locations across our state serviced by dedicated volunteer ambulance officers who play a vital part in the community making a huge difference to the lives of so many West Australians volunteering with cynjohn is rewarding in so many ways not only will you receive the benefits of the time you give such as free first aid and clinical training ambulance cover and a uniform you'll also build strong friendships with the people you meet and make a real contribution to your community you'll be mentored and supported all of the way through your journey and receive all the training you need to feel prepared confident and ready to assist when you become a volunteer with cynjohn you belong to a team that's changing lives and the first life that will change is yours I probably think people do it because they can't and they care about other people anyone that is willing to give up time and commitment and give it to the community there's an asset to an organization maintaining the vital ambulance service across our vast state takes the work of many people not just the ones driving the ambulances and tending the injured there are many other ways you can use your skills to make a contribution by volunteering for one of these other roles serving on your local cynjohn committee cleaning and maintaining vehicles assisting with catering social activities public relations and events providing administration support gardening and restocking vehicles and stores there's a great reward in what we do the feedback we get from people that we have is very gratifying we can make a huge difference in our local community
