one of us will ever forget. (upbeat music) We have six daughters. They range in age from sixteen to eight. No twins, all ours. We’re done now. That’s
a lot of girls, right? I’m telling you, I feel, I’m so blessed. And I love my girls, I love
my wife, and it’s an amazing, amazing, amazing journey. I was in the Army when I was a young guy. And I came back in. And our whole family sat
down and made the decision to come back in, go
active, live on post, fully embrace the Army life. And so it’s, we’re having a blast. (clapping) My wife and I, we both sang in college and you know, we traveled
in different groups representing our colleges musically. So, I mean, music has always
been a big thing in our home. But for the most part,
you know, people who walk around singing are generally happy. So when we hear our kids singing, just as they walk around the
house, I like that a lot. It means this is a good, safe
place, just open up your mouth and belt it out. You’re not going to be
judged, you’re going to be, you know, affirmed and celebrated. So it’s a good sign for me,
that my family likes to sing. ♪ Today I don’t feel
like doing anything ♪ ♪ So let go ♪ ♪ My soul ♪ ♪ And trust in Him. ♪ ♪ Don’t make me close one more door ♪ ♪ Don’t make me close one more door ♪ ♪ I don’t want to hurt anymore ♪ There was one point where you
could just make weird noises and tickle them and you know,
play goofy little games, and that was great quality time. It doesn’t work with teenagers, right? And Reagan loves to sing and you know, I enjoy singing as well
with her. So it has been a great connection point. So that’s really… Every once in a while
she’ll just grab me and say, “Hey, let’s go sing,” and so
we’ll run out in the garage and just sing. So she called me, I was
on my way home from work. She’s like, “Dad, will you come sing the Star-Spangled Banner, the
National Anthem with me? And I hadn’t eaten. I’m hungry.
A little grumpy, you know. I’m like, “Oh God, I
don’t want to do this.” But of course, I didn’t
say that to her. I’m like, “Yeah buddy, I’ll be over.” I ran over and we went out and sang it. And that was ridiculous, man. ♪ O’ say can you see ♪ ♪ O’ say can you see ♪ ♪ By the dawn’s early light ♪ ♪ What so proudly we hail’d ♪ Just the moment, you know. The looks that we were exchanging, She was looking at me
and I was looking at her and just the confidence
we had in one another and the love and the
energy. It was really cool. ♪ through the perilous fight ♪ ♪ O’er the ramparts we watched ♪ ♪ Were so gallantly streaming? ♪ ♪ Were so gallantly streaming? ♪ ♪ And the rocket’s red glare ♪ ♪ The bombs bursting in air ♪ ♪ gave proof through the night ♪ ♪ that our flag was still there ♪ ♪ O say does that star-spangled ♪ ♪ O say does that star-spangled ♪ ♪ Banner yet wave ♪ ♪ Banner yet wave ♪ ♪ O’er the land of the free ♪ ♪ O’er the land of the free ♪ ♪ And the home of the brave ♪ ♪ And the home of the brave ♪ (applauding) I was really proud as a dad. I mean, just a really cool moment. Yeah. It’s kind of fun to watch
each daughter find her lane, find her niche, find her
place, and then just, you know, be assertive. It’s really cool living
with seven strong ladies. And Reagan is one of them.
She’s a very strong, assertive, And Reagan is one of them.
She’s a very strong, assertive, opinionated sometimes,
obnoxious as all get out, but I absolutely love it about her. I want her to be a strong lady. And she is that.
