thank you hello Richland High School today is Monday November 11th 2019 these
are your daily announcements for today first off I’d like to start by saying
happy Veterans Day I know none of you are veterans students
but some of you could be one day I just want to thank our JROTC program for
their a presentation this morning it was a great display of patriotism I hope all
of us take the time to thank a Veteran you there’s a veteran in your family
thank them as well the rebel golf team participated in a prestigious Trinity
High School fall Invitational at Texas Star golf course last Wednesday
senior Owen Stubblefield shot his lowest tournament score ever he shot a 75
finished 4th place out of a hundred players including some of the best teams
in the area congratulations to also to senior Aidan Mata had 88 and Tyler
Tarvin shot at 87 the boys will be competing in their final fall tournament
today at Rockwood Golf Course in Fort Worth again congratulations to Owen for
his great round Richland High School Fine Arts presents this year’s musical
the theory of relativity it’s a new musical about surprising in
interconnectiveness of our lives that’s a hard word
interconnectedness of our lives we’ll be having a school show this Friday
November 15th during 2nd through 4th period tickets will be half
price that’s $5 and go on sale tomorrow I believe through to to Tuesday and
Wednesday this way excuse me during all lunches you must be eligible means you
must be passing and in good attendance standing to purchase a ticket that means
no unexcused absences you when you’re buying your ticket have to show your
grade so on your phone you have to show where we’re selling tickets your grades
that you’re passing so you need to figure out how to find your grades again
that the school showing the theory of relativity is this Friday during 2nd to
4th 4th period it’s only 5 dollars it’ll be a great time you can see the stage
that spins it’s really cool the other regular shows will be November 14th 15th
and 16th at 7 p.m. the reflections program through Richland High School PTA
is looking for submissions for the following categories dance choreography
film production literature music composition photography and visual arts
all students are encouraged to participate with positive recognition as
the focus of this program rather than competition students of all ages and
abilities can experience the benefits of creative expression this year’s theme is
look within again look within Entry forms can be found in the school
office in the front office with miss ball entries are due by 2:40 p.m. on
December 2nd all entries should be submitted to the library selection
entries will in will advance to the council level for further judging
entries recognized at the council level will be honored in the annual Founders
Day celebration the rainbow Alliance will meet this Tuesday starting tomorrow
in H209. That’s the Rebel Alliance club will be after school on Tuesdays in H209. students and faculty photo retakes will be going on all day Tuesday and
Wednesday in the Omni room so if you haven’t taken your picture yet or don’t
like the one you took go by the Omni and get a retake the ASVAB
will be offered at Richland High School on December 5th at 7:30 and Richland
high school lab H 115 if you’re interested 10th 11th or 12th grader
please sign up in the counselor’s office by December 3rd the ASVAB is a multi
aptitude battery that measures development developed abilities and
help predict future academic and occupational success it is administered
annually to more than 1 million military applicants high school and
post-secondary students all students this Friday November 15th
chick-fil-a day in the cafeteria November 15th all lunches outside of the
cafeteria you can pay with cash or card to get your chick-fil-a sandwiches also
tonight is the basketball blast off. It starts at 6 o’clock in the main gym I
know you want to be there to meet all our basketball teams coaches and
everyone involved we have girls basketball here at Richland High School
tomorrow night at Richland High School at 5:00 6:00 and 6:30
well again the musical starts Thursday Friday’s the school showing or Friday
night and Saturday you can see it as well also Friday here at the FAAC
Richland High School football team has it qualified for the playoffs whoo good
job football teams that will play Arlington High this Friday night Bi-district playoffs at the FAAC 7:30 so come out be loud be proud and go rebels
again it is Monday November 11th Veterans Day thank you all veterans and
have a great day hi Richland High School Thanksgiving is just around the corner
as we think of this time of year and what Thanksgiving means of course we
think of what we are thankful for we also need to consider what we can give
back about seven years ago Richland rebel Thanksgiving providers began the
idea is to provide a week’s worth of food including an entire Thanksgiving
meal for families at Richland High School who may need it when it started
our goal was 5 family and now the goal is 60 with this in mind
we are asking for the students and staff at Richland High School to join with us
in giving back the items which are needed has been divided amongst the
departments and student groups as well as softball girls basketball boys
basketball cross-country wrestling and baseball teams each group has been
assigned only an item or two which we need a hundred and twenty of each these
items can be dropped by the library if you would rather donate money please
drop by the front desk in the office the turkeys have been bought but we need
the rest of the supplies please bring donations by next Monday that’s November
18th Fine Arts we’re asking you to bring pasta dinners CTE green beans and corn
Math peanut butter and jelly Science rice dinners English pop tarts Social studies instant potatoes foreign language mac and cheese the
front office syrup softball and soccer spaghetti sauce and spaghetti baseball
the turkeys bags of fruit and bread cross country cranberry sauce wrestling
stuffing girls basketball cereal and oatmeal boys basketball brownie and
cookie mix a National Honor Society Bisquick and FCA cake mix and lastly
STUCO canned soup. We are never surprised by the generosity of the
people at Richland High School thank you so much and let’s go rebels!
