For anyone in the Valley looking to help in this crisis — The American Red Cross says it’s as simple as donating blood. Your blood can be used to help the survivors of the tragedies in Dayton and El Paso. The Northeast Ohio Red Cross says their branch has seen FEWER donations than usual recently because of summer. More donors are always better because blood isn’t usable after five to six weeks “BLOOD IS ONE OF THE FEW THINGS THAT MANKIND HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE. BLOOD HAS A SHORT SHELF LIFE. SO RIGHT NOW WE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO NEED TO REPLENISH THAT BLOOD SUPPLY.” Across the Valley there are several blood drives in the next few days. You can see the list on our website at WKBN-dot-com.
