so the impact Innovation Challenge is an initiative of und the United Nation volunteer program in partnership with the Sen Foundation the SNC bacteria the SCP UNDP and ILO to promote a youth-led innovative solution to development but through volunteering so we have launched this competition in all 10 ASEAN countries and invite young young people who are already working on projects to help them develop further their business plan and scale of their ideas close to 1,000 youth who actually engage with the challenge they were selected based on their relevance for volunteering the quality of their their ideas the potential for their ideas to scale up and and also if they were supporting localizing the SDGs developing sustainable behavior to volunteering and they've also developed a network among themselves so that they can support each other laterally through volunteering youth can actually get a better sense of the issues in their community develop different skills that they will be relevant for them for work as well by having huge engaged and involved you also change the perception that communities have on youth sometimes youth out perceive as passive on their electronics but there are thousands of you his contribution to development in the world and in ASEAN countries and when they are mechanism to support it it can flourish and they have a much more bigger impact on development this project is equal one over D equal value e is a environmental word game made from recycled paper and wood waste and then produced by woman partner community who are an ecumenical challenge occurring this way VI C is really amazing for us is the first time for eco fun chronic with UN volunteers we learn about volunteerism and SDGs goals to map is a mobile application students S stands for tuna nutria which is a blind people in international language we create a foreign tourism through the citizen which they will report the unrest and inaccessible pavement or people with visual impairment to navigate within the city during my experience of joining this competition and all this challenge it was really exciting like the contest and participants are really great they have a unique project through volunteerism that can solve the problems and it's really nice to build a connection with people throughout the ASEAN countries because it's just kind of like once-in-a-lifetime and the thing is it's kind of like a great programs because the workshop as well can enhance our knowledge about volunteerism I will encourage you to do a lot of follow tourism Wars because what I'm doing them can solve social issues within your countries or your cities and you can create a better future as to build a greater world we are in we work with urban poor communities and we give them market what we do is we give them you give them jobs and we give them is called the competition was a great experience for me just ask the p.m. the community and helped me realize that on the youth plays a big part in these kinds of projects and volunteerism is important by supporting the social enterprises again we are able to amplify that impact and help them be more sustainable Volunteers play an important role in sustainable development which is White's construct it creates a chef's value for its ecosystem and in the social entrepreneurship economy thanks to the collaboration with agent Hall we have been looking at how ACP skills and actually supports and strengthen volunteer in in asia-pacific ACP has a very strong interest and an understanding of skills based volunteering which is what UNB is also working on and the Troodos partnership and through employee volunteering we can actually leverage those those skills we are very pleased with the collaboration so far thanks to them they were a partner in in the impact I sense and we hope that this is not a one one-shots but that's it's really building on a longer-term partnership together where we really leverage a safety main expertise and skills to the benefit of helping volunteering in Asian country you
