“He’s Unraveling”: Scaramucci Predicts the Trump Endgame – Fox News

Weeks after an interview with my colleague William D. Cohan—“One never feels more alive than when the president of the United States is calling you an unstable nutjob”—Anthony Scaramucci took the stage at Vanity Fair’s sixth annual New Establishment Summit to Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy ” It was a fitting musical cue for the SkyBridge Capital founder, the former White House communications director turned Trump critic and Republican pariah “If you’re resilient and you own your mistakes, there’s second acts in America,” he told VF’s __Gabriel Sherman in a wide-ranging conversation that touched on impeachment, whether the president is a “fascist,” why he believes Trump is “unraveling,” and how America’s “full-blown constitutional crisis” will end  “In the next three to six weeks there will be more damning information related to the president” released, Scaramucci predicted “He’s aware of it. I believe that [Mitch] McConnell will eventually go to him and say, ‘Hey man, you’ve gotta take one for the team you’ve gotta go back.’ He’ll probably end up back at Mar-a-Lago or something.” Though he says he hasn’t had a personal conversation with McConnell, who “plays his cards very close to the vest,” Scaramucci said he has “talked to a legion of people” who see the tables beginning to turn “For someone like McConnell,” he acknowledges, “it’s going to take a little more lawless activity exposure ” But, he predicted, the evidence of more high crimes and misdemeanors will be forthcoming: “We’ll eventually uncover that something happened between him and the president of Turkey to have him disavow the Kurds the way he did I believe there’s a personal transaction embedded there as well.” “I predict he will be out of office before the next election,” Scaramucci continued, adding that Nancy Pelosi is “like my favorite Italian now at this point ” Trump will “either be out the way Lyndon Johnson was out, or he’s going to resign from office I do believe he’s cornered now and as the facts unfold they’re so overwhelming in their criminality that he’ll be out of office ” Through all of it, Scaramucci predicts Trump will fight to hold onto power. Discussing the time the president tweeted at his wife, Scaramucci says, “that’s the president’s move Calling me an unstable nutjob wasn’t enough, he had to go after” a private citizen “He may not have early-stage dementia, but he definitely has early-stage fascism That’s a message to people in the House, a message to people on Fox, ‘I’m a full-blown demagogue You’ve got to be 13 for 10 for me, and if you’re not, I’m going to blast you.’” (This is born of the fact, he says, that Trump has “the self-esteem of a small pigeon ”) Ultimately, he says, those close to Trump will pay the price. “I think they’re having a very tough time,” Scaramucci says of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, who early-on attempted to project an image as voices of reason within the administration “I think they realize now that this thing has gotten completely out of control, and there’s no crisis-management team that’s going to out them ” However, he says, “there are many second acts” in America. “If you’re resilient and own your mistakes, there’s a second act Jared and Ivanka had better own their mistakes as quickly as possible otherwise it’s going to be very rough for them ” With the 2020 race unfolding, Scaramucci says he’ll be hitting the campaign trail to talk up gun-control policy and lobby suburban women to vote against Trump And, of course, voting against the president himself. Would he go so far as to vote for, say, Elizabeth Warren? “I don’t want to answer that hypothetical,” he parried, “because I think there will be another candidate ” (Warren’s wealth tax, he says, is “un-American.”) At this point, however, “it’s sort of ABT—anybody but Trump ” — How one industry is bleeding Wall Street dry of talent— Ronan Farrow’s producer reveals how NBC killed its Weinstein story— Ivanka’s $360 million deal is raising eyebrows at the FBI— The big turn for Elizabeth Warren’s campaign— Why a leading neurocriminologist left Joker completely stunned— The Fox News movie’s uncanny depictions of the network’s drama— From the Archive: The real-life story of the security guard turned bombing suspect at the heart of Clint Eastwood’s latest movie Looking for more?
