Get Out Of The Materialism Trap NOW

Get Out Of The Materialism Trap NOW

If you’re watching this video right now, you are likely in the top 10% of the world’s population as far as wealth goes․ If you have clothes, food to eat, clean water to drink, a little bit of money and roof over your head you have it all to the millions of people who don’t have clean water to drink, who are so poor that they can’t eat, who are in a part of the world that is such a mess that they can’t create the life of their dreams there. They just have to scrape by to survive. It’s survival of the fittest and we’re over here in America with the ability to create an amazing life of success and opportunity and reward if we just apply ourselves, if we just think about what we want and work at it and that’s incredible and with basically the world in the palm of our hands. We’re over here in first world countries worshiping things, /robot voice echoing things/ worshiping things, /robot voice echoing things/ worshiping things. I’m literally home decor obsessed. I’ve been doing a lot of shopping at Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls all over. Like everywhere that sells home decor. Purple. Purple. How fun is that! Farmhouse trays are so in right now. How cute is this! Look how big it is! I knew I had to have this sign It’s so beautiful. Have to have this! /robot voice echoing “Have to have this!”/ A really cute way to display like crackers and cheese I basically have to have this. /robot voice echoing “Have to have this!”/ This set is so adorable. How adorable is this! If you love something you don’t set it free you buy it/robot voice echoing “you buy it”/ Together as a society we have co-created and been sucked in to the world of materialism where we literally give our souls, our mind, will and emotions to things. How about we meditate on this? Brand-new… Barry Crystal with white sapphires. There’s nothing wrong with a little bit of bling! Get it down. You’re getting it all Things, objects, items to houses which are just big fancy boxes in which our bodies reside in. We worship things that look nice, that are shiny, that are beautiful. Look at that, look that. It is wrapped like my last one, it is wrapped in rose gold. And we’re creatures of the eye, so it’s natural to a certain extent for us to light things based upon what they look like, but when you look at what we’ve done and what we are doing And how we have the ability to literally change the world. Each and every one of us has the ability to make a massive impact on this planet and change lives for thousands of people, thousands of animals and for future generations. And you take a look? It’s like we are window shopping while the world falls apart around us. We spend so much time trying to buy nicer things and get nicer things and make our already nice houses and apartments look nicer and nicer and we want more and more and more and it’s all just stuff. It’s all going to rot away a few hundred years after we do. Every house that you ever live in every house that anyone will ever live in will one day just be dust and we have a short period of time, you have a limited amount of days left in your life. And if you take a moment to review how you’re spending it, you might be disappointed in yourself. I know that I’m disappointed in myself. I know that I’ve spent the past couple years spending so much time on things, items, putting so much of my consciousness into fantasies about having this kind of house, and that kind of car, and this kind of style. And I just spent the last three weeks getting rid of things that I had bought in my hypnotized, fascination with materialism, stuff, just stuff that makes you feel like you have nice things. I got rid of it. You can do the same thing. A lot of the things that you have, a lot of this stuff that you’re hoarding in your home that looks nice or has this memory behind it or has that it’s literally keeping you entangled in the material world so that you’re susceptible to be pulled into the material world more, more with every commercial that comes on, with every ad, with every time you walk through a furniture store or the mall or you see other people’s homes. You’re surrounding yourself with that world in that dimension and you’re going to remain in it, if you do that. And it’s not worth it. It’s so not worth it! And then I got this absolutely adorable little Mason jar wall accent from Kirklands. You guys know I’m Mason jar obsessed. I’m absolutely obsessed with these kinds of mirrors. Absolutely amazing pillow. I am ridiculously obsessed with succulents. We were obsessed with these and couldn’t say no. My new car a Lamborghini. Just look at it. Just look at it! Look at this! There’s carbon fiber everywhere. What are we living for? Are we living for things or are we living for the people and the animals and the future generations that we’re sharing this place with? Because what I see everywhere I turn is people obsessed with how their lawns look, obsessed with how their house looks, obsessed with buying new things and having the latest coolest gadget. See this? Yes! Installed a little remote the other day to her vanities. Awesome! And it’s really quite terrifying because every day there is an animal or a person dying that could have been helped or saved by this privileged society of window Shoppers, because that’s what we’re doing. We’re looking in nice windows at nice things while our fellow beings or fellow earthlings people and animals are suffering and dying. And we’re just happy to get a nice new addition to our kitchen. And believe it or not the picture is from the one spot at Target, I know, I couldn’t even believe it myself or a nice new addition to our home. Oh! It’s as big as the wall. Look at the size of that thing. It’s gonna get mold to the wall up there. We’re all guilty of it and we all deserve self-actualization, we all deserve to live the life that we want, but the level to which we are worshiping materialism and the level to which we are being sucked into the material dimension, like I said, it’s terrifying. Look at the size of this…you stay there, give your arm. Even spiritual people and motivational speakers and leaders and artists and creators. Look at some of their homes! It’s beyond what is morally appropriate and I’m going to be honest. I’m going to call them out on it. It’s beyond what is morally appropriate. Nobody needs a mansion. I’m serious. When you have children dying and animals dying give your head a shake and ask yourself if anybody needs a mansion /a child is crying/ Dying, the breath is leaving their lungs, their eyes are rolling to the back of their head and they are dying and people are buying homes with 25, 35, 45 rooms? What’s happened to us? What are we doing? What are we doing with our lives? We have completely lost ourselves. Here we are in the lavish living room. I’m not telling you to sell everything you own. But I’m asking you to reassess how you’re living and what you’re living for and what you’re serving. What are you serving here on this planet? Our addiction to materialism and our fascination and worship of materialism has actually structured our economy in a way where our economy depends on us continuing and perpetuating our addiction to the material world. People’s jobs, people’s ability to make a living is now dependent on us continuing to want more and more and more and more. We’re going to have to change. If the change that needs to happen on this planet means that we’re going to have to create new jobs and change the way that we live then that’s just what we have to do. Change is difficult, but it’s not nearly as bad as what we’re doing right now and the effect that that’s having on humanity as a whole. This is a reason to have a child. How cute is that? Okay, that’s my favorite. /imitating opera singing/ So this is what I think about shoes. “You gotta have at least five pair.” Take a picture of it. Hello darling! Like it? And we can change, we can choose to change, we can choose what we give our consciousness and our attention to and why. So wake up and don’t be controlled by this sensory perception that you have which is the ability to see. Don’t be controlled and hoard things into your reality. Because it looks nice. Don’t live for that, because that’s not worth living for.

  1. My best wishes for those 2.8K people to understand and realize the reality of the World so they can actually start living a happy and free life….hope they wake up and break their dungeons soon

  2. Well if you get rid of your stuff, you are wasting and polluting big time. So keep what you have and stop buying

  3. Materialism is what I believe to be the cause of depression in many of our lives. BUT WHO ARE YOU TO DECIDE WHAT IS “MORALLY APPROPRIATE” you have no right to tell someone what they can and cannot spend there money on.

  4. [Jas 4:13-14 KJV] 13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

  5. [Ecc 1:2-11 KJV] 2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all [is] vanity. 3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun? 4 [One] generation passeth away, and [another] generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. 5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. 6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. 7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea [is] not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. 8 All things [are] full of labour; man cannot utter [it]: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. 9 The thing that hath been, it [is that] which shall be; and that which is done [is] that which shall be done: and [there is] no new [thing] under the sun. 10 Is there [any] thing whereof it may be said, See, this [is] new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. 11 [There is] no remembrance of former [things]; neither shall there be [any] remembrance of [things] that are to come with [those] that shall come after.

  6. Those who worship Mammon will not enter the Kingdom of God:

[Luk 16:13 KJV] 13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

  7. This is so incredibly inspiring. I am a minimalist and own few items, but i always strive for improvement in mindfulness of my time, and my perspective. Thank you so much for sharing this, I think that everybody can benefit greatly from your words.

  8. wonderful video!! I've been taking quite nicely to the minimalism lifestyle. Plus, it's always nice to randomly give your friends old stuff that you have no use for!!

  9. I've gotten rid of so much stuff, also so much trash that made my heart, mind and soul more toxic every day.

I've gone vegan & plastic free and I'm part of the European wide "Fridays for Future" movement right now

I've stopped using social media, settled back again in reality, worshipping that I live on the countryside on an old farm
that I am so much more wealthy than the most part of people on this planet, but not wealthy enough for the things I own to be a weight for me to drag me down

I've started to be grateful for everything "that is" (not that I have, because owning makes you sick)

and I tell you, I have never been this happy in my entire life

  10. too bad u didn't include here jamie chua, and her love for hermes bags..jeffrey star and all those disgusting people who hoards expensive shit…

  11. Makes me laugh at some of those so called minimalist channels. "Get rid of all this stuff, go out and buy these minimalist storage solutions for what you have left"

  12. Great job, I totally agree with you sometimes we need to think that all these stuff will belong to other people because all of us are passengers in life journey!!!!!

  13. How is your tight condo in hrm? How's the ad revenue? How's your high end camera, and apple computer? This is why John Lennon was shot.

  14. Good job. Thank you. I am not materialistic at all , i have two pairs of shoes. Ok, four, but three are business dress smart shoes, brown, black, and white. Ok five, one outside garden shoes and one gym shoes. Lol Anyway, good message , i only watched because I have items from my family i keep. I need to realize they are not functional items only memorabilia that take up space. Im not a shopper, i only shop for what is needed. I was trying to get input on the value of items I currently have ( not monetary) in my possession and if maybe i should let go, of them, because they bring memories of days gone by but the special people who were in the memories are no longer here.

  15. VERY WELL DONE – MAY HUMANITY VERSION 2 FIND EVIDENCE OF YOUR VIDEO MILLIONS OF YEARS INTO THE FUTURE, WHERE INANE CONSUMERISM OF ANY LEVEL IS A FUNNY JOKE OF THE SIMPLE MINDED VERSION 1 (OF US, NOW………………………………YOU'LL BE SEEN AS A CURIOUS SOOTHSAYER NOT LISTENED TO ENOUGH, LIKE GRETA THUMBERG'S WORDS FALLING ON UNLISTENING, MATERIALISTIC EARS OF TODAY. BEFORE OUR TIME OF DECLINE AND THE 100'S OF YEARS OF CARBONIC ACIDIFIED OCEAN, OF THE ARRID BIT OF LAND ON THE PLANET, JUST A QUARTER OF ITS SURFACE LIKE A HOT, POWDERY DUSTY MOONSCAPE BUT IN A CRUEL SUN, TRACES OF US SOMEWHERE UNDERSURFACE WAITING FOR WISDOM.

  16. you can't always get what you want ———- BUT – if you try sometime – you just might find …. you get what you in all possible ways need ……………

  17. Where did you come from? You're like one of the only 5 blonde chicks in the world who isn't obsessed with material objects. I wish more women would start using their brains. Maybe then I would be willing to date them.

  18. good video but those damn statics really did a number to my ears… couldn't there have been a better way to send subliminal messages?

  19. Both sides are the extreme, they both have their roles to play in our enslavement.
There’s enough food & water for everyone, it is a good start to go without the frills & keep going it gets easier & easier.
Just being disgusted is also a common place to start.
The people shown in the video are creepy, the way you slow it down makes them look like demons lol.
I feel so it for you, others will see you are happy & change. It’ll never be enough glitter.
BTW, the jar on the board fastened with a car hose clamp is so chic LOL
    Hilarious!
Make it over priced & you’ll sell a million.
If I had the same thing in a garage sale it wouldn’t sell.
Because people aren’t programmed to buy from “garbage” sales.
Big business is all up in your head.
You all will scoff but it’s the Usury system brought to us by the Jews, ENJOY you dumb Goy.

  20. ? Don’t buy things & if you want to support me buying things while I show you not to you can donate @_________ , then I can continue to be a hypocrite full time.
Thanks for your support I know I’ll get through this.

  21. oK. Done that. Now, friends and fam mostly keep me on outside. Hard to get work. Ppl say I’m weird. It’s required in order to make a living, seems like.

  22. I’m shocked by the amount of young people lobotomized by the American way of life. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO

  23. Have you guys seen Graveyardgirl's house?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jh65HFArNu8

which she bought by selling people's attention to brands…

  24. Why would anyone put a thumbs down to his video. Very effective. Thank you. You have given us lots to think about. The audience screaming on Oprah made me feel sick. X

  25. We live in a trap reality where we are busy thinking about job career, gross salary, dreaming of useless expensive brands and status symbols. Time goes by, we reach elderly age where probably we start reflecting that money was actually a fake idol. What was more important is time spent with people we love and good actions we do, so before we die we can bring all these good memories with us ♥️

  26. The amount of dislikes on this video is scary! Likely those who are the most guilty of living this way.

The message she is stating is completely accurate, but unfortunately she’s only scratching the surface. We are controlled with food/sugar, money, government, ego, consumerism, etc etc. It all starts when you send your little ones off to their first day of school where they learn how to be a slave in this world.

  27. I'm most definately not materialisric or rich. Homeless and spiritual. Got transitional housing though. Im feeling blessed. Like looking at those material girls though. They need a bad boy like me. Not more money. Lol!

  28. I sorry to say but I don't really care about others I'm 18 now and I don't really have what I should have at my age when I go to past its like I never lived my childhood like others do being in a environment like that so only thing I care is about myself

  29. she says all this B.S. while monetizing her videos, probably owns a cell phone/iphone, and a note book. Trade your place with someone in the projects. B*tch hush!

  30. People are just “things” of your imagination too. I’m going to go as far as to say that everyone has a deeper human/spiritual/living relationship to their lawn or the soil they reside on, compared to these billions of other living things whose subjective consciousness, they will never get close to knowing. The pure ascetic spiritualist knows that humans and animals and the earth and themselves are none more than just “things” and “stuff”. Free your mind.

  31. This should be the stuff our president is talking about and about how we can help, how we can become a better nation

  32. So what!
What kind of a bull shit story is she selling?
Which political's are backing her up on this?
The things that you buy provide employment for the people that provide the things to you!
From the factory workers, the delivery people, the store sales people, these people are all depending on you!
Everyone, including you, is being fed and sheltered because of you buying things!
Listen to her, and you can live in poverty too!
The world economy would collapse if everyone listened to her!
    Capitalism drives the world!
Country's that don't use capitalism properly generally fail!
What is wrong with getting the things that make you happy?
My big screen TV made me happy, and it helped to feed the family of the salesperson that sold it to me, which made her happy!
It is the people and country's that don't know how to use a capitalistic system that live in poverty!
Agree with her and you deserve to live in poverty, and starving to death!
She actually said this: "Beyond morally appropriate"????????????????
What a total asshole she is! (And anyone that agrees with her!)
Did she inquire as to how much money the people in the mansions have donated to help the poor or the humane society? (Tax deductible, BTW!)
I bet it was much more than she will ever donate, in her entire lifetime!
When you set high goals for yourself, you help out all of the other people along the way!
The only change that needs to happen is for somebody to shut her up!

  33. This world, these people, they’re sick. Hypnotized, asleep. And only the lucky few wake up and try to make a change.

  34. materialism is what keeps people blinded from the true meaning of life, fear God and obey his commandments. Why people work, study and get their drivers license so they can be self sufficient and well off at that, that's not bad untill it becomes the reason you live. materialism is why people who had that wealth and lost it end up committing suicide.

  35. you got it contained just for how long society makes us fall for it over and over thats the real impact you talk about?

  36. The change its going to be a fucking world war, that could sent the last humans to a medieval state. And maybe that is good.

  37. Great stuff. Reminded me of Martin G Spataro's "Arbol Rojo", the guy walking barefoot in a suit, dragging an empty supermarket trolley. Pure gold. And obviously unpopular on Youtube, by the way. :/

  38. 100% agree, I don't buy unnecessary stuff and I've been vegan my whole life. I am really thankful for everything i currently have. My only exception is that I want a Tesla.
