EVS Volunteering – Melanie's story

I just to appear for Peter McVeigh trust because I want to have a bit of work experience and I like the fact that you try to lead persons into independency I'm doing a lot of different things it's up to daily things like cleaning stuff but also very creative things I think like drawing giving workshops try to get in contact with the clients have etat have a chat with them for me I had English in school but it was still very hard for me to speak and I want to challenge myself a bit and I think I heard a lot about the homeless crisis here I decided to do it here I really enjoy just just talking to to the residents and to my team I have a very lovely team I really enjoyed working in a team and it's good to to have a calm and quiet start in the morning a thing just for the coffee a cup of a cup of coffee just sitting there talking to the clients I was there day I think it's very cool to you know to build up this contact and to build up this relation because they also know how you work and they can come to you and ask you questions something like this just that everybody now is who's this person who is this person I still don't know if I really want to go back to university or if there's another program I can I can do to enter or to have a job and social care environment yeah I have to do a bit of research for this you
