Deutsche's restructuring is 'too little, too late': Porta Advisors | Capital Connection

I don't think that we need additional surprises but I think that's the capital market developments on the stockpile of storages is probably the best forecasting tool and the market has really not so fond of what I J called a massive restructuring so so far there is no positive expectation from the capital market and anybody who should have rotation you would be very very bold indeed given the very bad track record of Deutsche Bank in that respect we got those restructuring plans of course essentially ring-fencing some of those underperforming assets in a bad Bank exiting largely the US market do you think that that's enough to write the ship when it comes to Deutsche Bank going forward no I don't think at all that this is enough most of their to that Kingdom 10 years ago in the context of the great financial crisis – away so it's too little too late and basically the macro backdrop has not improved banking in Europe remains characterized by quick over capacities in an environment of very low and falling yields and inflation rate and then investment banking capacity is not needed in the US and retail business in Germany is notoriously unprofitable so these are the real challenges and given that you know the restructuring today at least in the view of the capital market is not big enough and in my view there's much more to be done here hey everybody its Hadley gamble from our new CNBC Middle East Bureau in Abu Dhabi thanks for stopping by now to watch more you can try one of the videos that just popped up on your screen and don't forget to subscribe
