WW1(1914-1918) Effect of WW1 on Indian Economy and Polictics 1. Increase in custom duty/ income tax/ taxes which were burden on Indian people 2. Force recruitment of farmers/ peasants in WW1 3. Increase in price of needed commodities. 4. Indian Industrial expansion to fulfil daily needs of troops fighting in WW1. 5. Establishment of large amount of steel plants and steel Industry flourished. Ghadar Party (1913-19) Established in San Francisco by Lala Hardayal, Sohan Singh Bakhna and Mohd. Barkatullah. Ghadar News paper (aka. Angrezi raz ka kachcha chittha) 21 Feb 1915: Ghadar set date for arm revolt. Ghadar mutiny was crushed by britishers because Indians didn’t participated in masses Home Rule Movement (1916-18)
