Capitalism vs. socialism Town Hall | Part 3

[APPLAUSE] ♪♪ CHARLES: WELCOME BACK TO OUR SPECIAL EDITION OF “MAKING MONEY.” IT CONTINUES NOW, A TOWN HALL ON CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM OF BACK WITH US REPRESENTING SOCIALISM, BIANCA CUNNINGHAM, RICHARD WOLFF, OUR CHAMPION OF CAPITALISM, HERMAN CAIN. JOINING US NOW, YOU KNOW HER, HOST OF HER OWN SHOW 9:00 P.M. ON FOX BUSINESS. SHE APPEARS REGULARLY ON “OUTNUMBERED” ON FOX NEWS NETWORK. KENDI WAS BORN IN INDIAN, RAISED IN OREGON. SHE IS A LIBERTARIAN. SHE IS A BIG PROPONENT OF CAPITALISM. WELCOME TO THE SHOW.>>THANK YOU VERY MUCH. [APPLAUSE] CHARLES: YOU LIVED CAPITALISM. YOU PREACHED CAPITALISM. SO ARE YOU READY?>>ABSOLUTELY CHARLES, LET’S DO THIS. CHARLES: LET’S GET OUR NEXT QUESTION. NICHOLAS?>>HI, I’M A COLLEGE STUDENT HERE IN NEW YORK CITY ON BUSINESS. ON TODAY’S COLLEGE CAMPUSES IT IS HARD TO BRING REPUBLICAN IDEAS AS CAPITALISM WITHOUT BEING SHOUTED DOWN OR CALLED A SLEW OF SLURS. HOW DO WE INSURE STUDENTS IN COLLEGES ACROSS THE COUNTRY ESPECIALLY CITIES AS LIBERAL AS NEW YORK, LEARN THE REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM AND THE BENEFIT CAPITALISM BROUGHT TO AMERICA THROUGH THE FIRST 243 YEARS OF EXISTENCE? CHARLES: LET’S ASK THE PROFESSOR? [APPLAUSE]>>I SPENT A LIFETIME PREACHING TO DO EXACTLY THAT. TO HAVE THE UNIVERSITY BE A PLACE WHERE IDEAS OF CAPITALISM CAN BE DEFENDED BY PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN IT, AND IDEAS OF SOCIALISM CAN BE DEFENDED AND PUT FORWARD BY BELIEVE THAT BELIEVE IN IT. IN 90% OF THE COLLEGES IN UNITED STATES, ECONOMICS THE FIELD I KNOW, THERE ARE LOADS OF PEOPLE WHO LOVE AND CELEBRATE CAPITALISM, NO PEOPLE WHO LOVE SOCIALISM. GIVE MYSELF AS AN EXAMPLE. BECAUSE HERMAN GAVE HIMSELF AS EXAMPLE. I WAS BORN IN OHIO. MY PARENTS HAD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I FOR LONGER TO I ENDED UP GOING TO HARVARD AS UNDERGRADUATE, TO STANFORD IN THE MIDDLE AND I FINISHED AT YALE. I’M A POSTER BOY FOR ELITE EDUCATION IN THIS COUNTRY, RIGHT? AT NO TIME IN MY EDUCATION, 10 YEARS IN THE IVY LEAGUE, DID ANYONE STAND IN FRONT OF ME AND GIVE AN ARGUMENT FOR WHY SOCIALISM WAS ADVANTAGEOUS OR GOOD. I HEARD COUNTLESS DEBATES AMONG PEOPLE WHO LOVED CAPITALISM. DISAGREED ABOUT THIS OR THAT, BUT THE PRESUMPTION WAS THIS IS THE BEST SYSTEM SINCE SLICED BREAD. THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. AND THE ALTERNATIVE IS NOTHING YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT. CHARLES: RIGHT.>>GIVEN THAT, OF COURSE IT IS HARD FOR SOCIALISM TO GET A HEARING. BUT YOUR SITUATION IS THE VERY, VERY SCARCEST REALITY. THE ONE I DESCRIBED IS UNFORTUNATELY THE BAD LEGACY OF THE COLD WAR. CHARLES: WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, RICHARD, I WANT TO BRING KENNEDY IN, THIS IS THE NOT FIRST TIME I HEARD IT. I HEARD IT FROM THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS YOUNG ADULTS IN COLLEGES ACROSS THE COUNTRY.>>WE HAVE TO DIVORCE OURSELVES FROM THE IDEA OF A TWO-PARTY SYSTEM. I’M SURE YOU WOULD AGREE. YOU RAIL AGAINST THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND ESTABLISHMENT AND IT IS THIS EXTREME BIFURCATION BUT THEY REALLY HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON THAT THEY DO SUCH A GREAT DISSERVICE TO SO MANY PEOPLE. SO INSTEAD OF THINKING IN TERMS OF REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRAT, I LIKE TO THINK IN TERMS OF FREEDOM. AND THAT IS MUCH MORE LIBERTARIAN. THAT IS MUCH MORE OF A LIBERTARIAN, LIBERTY ENCOMPASSING PHILOSOPHY. AND WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT FREEDOM YOU TEND TO BE MUCH MORE INCLUSIVE. BECAUSE YOU’RE TALKING TO INDIVIDUALS. YOU’RE NOT JUST TRYING INTO TWO SEPARATE GROUPS WE INSTANTLY HATE YOU. I THINK IT IS GOOD THAT YOU’RE GETTING A DEGREE IN BUSINESS. BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT YOU WILL HAVE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THAT DEGREE. THERE ARE A LOT OF DEGREES, MY DEGREE IN PHILOSOPHY DOESN’T NECESSARILY TRANSLATE TO THE WORK PLACE. IT HELPED ME ORGANIZE MY THOUGHTS. I PROBABLY COULD HAVE DONE THAT IN MY OWN. I LIKED BEING IN A UNIVERSITY SETTING. FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE LANGUISHING IN COLLEGE WHICH ARE PROPAGANDA FACTORIES RUN BY LEFTISTS WHO WANT TO INDOCTRINATE, WHAT I WOULD SAY TO THOSE PEOPLE, SAVE YOUR MONEY. DON’T NECESSARILY GO TO COLLEGE UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO STUDY. I DIDN’T GO TO COLLEGE UNTIL I WAS 28 YEARS OLD. I HAD TWO CAREERS IN BROADCASTING, RADIO AND TELEVISION. IT WASN’T UNTIL I KNEW WHAT I WANTED TO DO AND POURED MYSELF INTO IT COMPLETELY THAT I WENT AND GOT A SCHOLARSHIP TO UCLA, GO BRUINS. CHARLES: LET’S LEAVE IT THERE. UP NEXT, WE HAVE MOHAMMED. WHAT IS YOUR QUESTION?>>SO, CAN I STAND? ALL RIGHT. I JUST WANT TO ASK THE CANDIDATES AS THEIR THOUGHTS ON DESIRABILITY AS WELL AS FEASIBILITY OF TRANSITIONING AMERICA TO A SOCIALIST FRAMEWORK BY REPLACING THE CURRENT MODEL OF STRUCTURE SOME DESCRIBE AS VERTICAL HIERARCHY INTO WORKER OWNED COOPERATIVES?>>BIANCA?>>THAT IS A REALLY GOOD QUESTION. TO ME IN MY MIND, I FEEL LIKE, THIS COUNTRY HAS PRIORITIZED CAPITALISM OVER DEMOCRACY. SO I THINK WE CAN’T HAVE THESE CONVERSATIONS WITHOUT BRINGING DEMOCRACY BACK INTO THE CONVERSATION. PEOPLE ARE NOT RESPONSIVE TO CANDIDATES OR TO POLITICAL PARTIES. THEY’RE RESPONSIVE TO ISSUES. THEY HAVE REAL ISSUES THAT THEY WANT TO SEE ADDRESSED. I FEEL LIKE, YOU KNOW, THERE ARE A LOT OF EXAMPLES OF, YOU KNOW, SOCIALISM GONE BAD AROUND, WHAT I’M MORE CONCERNED ABOUT, AMERICA WE’RE GREAT AT A LOT OF THINGS. I THINK WE CAN DO SOCIALISM IN THIS COUNTRY BETTER THAN OTHER COUNTRIES. CHARLES: HOW DO WE RESTRUCTURE? LIKE CHANGING A TIRE ON MOVING TRUCK.>>I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU. I WANT YOU TO ANSWER THIS HONESTLY, WHEN WILL YOU ADMIT THINGS HAVE GOTTEN BETTER? THAT IS A PROBLEM. SO MUCH HYPERBOLE, THE WORST TIME AND THERE ARE CHILDREN STARVING IN THE STREETS. THIS IS ACTUALLY THE BEST TIME TO BE ALIVE. PEOPLE ARE LIVING LONGER. AND IN FACT CAPITALISM HAS LIFTED BILLIONS OF PEOPLE OUT OF EXTREME POVERTY. DO YOU WANT PEOPLE IN EXTREME POVERTY? I DON’T. I WANT WOMEN, I WANT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO HAVE IDEAS THAT THEY INSERT INTO THE MARKETPLACE. CHARLES: BIANCA?>>WHEN WILL YOU ADMIT THINGS HAVE ACTUALLY GOTTEN BETTER? YOU TALK ABOUT SYSTEMS AND YOU TALK ABOUT STRATA AND YOU ABUSE THIS — CHARLES: IT IS LUXURY TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION. IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD YOU COULDN’T?>>WE HAVE THE HIGHEST WAGE GAP TODAY THAN AFTER THE GREAT DEPRESSION, THAN AFTER THE RECESSION IN 2018. SO WHILE YOU ARE SAYING THAT CAPITALISM IS WORKING MARKETS ARE STRONG, UNEMPLOYMENT IS LOW, WE’RE SAYING IT IS NOT TRANSLATING TO PEOPLE’S — [APPLAUSE]>>BUT WHEN WILL YOU ADMIT, SO SOCIALIST LIKE TO USE THE TERM LIVING WAGE. WHEN WILL YOU ADMIT WHAT THAT IS? WHY WOULD YOU STOP AT $15 AN HOUR? WHY NOT GO TO $25 AN HOUR? $150 HOUR. ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. START THERE. TO BIG. CHARLES: I WANT TO I BUT GUYS IN. WE’RE TIGHT ON TIME. HERMAN YOU WORKED AT THE FEDERAL RESERVE. YOU RAN A MAJOR CORPORATION. HOW WOULD WE ACTUALLY DECONSTRUCT THIS WHOLE SYSTEM THAT WE HAVE AND FLATTEN IT OUT SO THAT EVERYONE HAS A GREATER VOICE IS IT HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK?>>ANSWER YOU CAN’T. ALLOW ME TO GIVE YOU TWO STATISTICS. AS IMPERFECT AS CAPITALISM IS, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA REPRESENT NEARLY 25% OF THE WORLD’S GDP COMPARED TO EVERYBODY ELSE. AND WE HAVE LESS THAN 5% OF THE WORLD’S POPULATION. KENNEDY IS RIGHT. MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LIFTED UP OUT OF POVERTY BECAUSE OF CAPITALISM. NOT SOCIALISM. SECONDLY, SOCIALISM CREEPS INTO A SOCIETY. THAT IS WHY A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK THIS SOUNDS GOOD. THAT YOUNG MAN’S QUESTION, WAS NEVER ANSWERED. WHEN YOU IS ARE PEOPLE GOING TO START TELLING PEOPLE WHAT IT IS GOING TO COST? NOBODY HAS ANSWERED THAT. THAT IS BECAUSE THE COSTS ARE ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE AND UNREALISTIC. CHARLES: RICHARD. [APPLAUSE]>>I WOULD LIKE TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ABOUT HOW COULD YOU GET A SITUATION WHERE THESE IDEAS BECOME ACCEPTABLE? TO TEACH A LITTLE BIT — CHARLES: IMPLEMENT. DECONSTRUCT CAPITALISM TO BECOME A SOCIALIST SOCIETY.>>HIS QUESTION IMPLIED HOW ARE YOU PEOPLE WILLING TO GO IN THAT DIRECTION?>>BY FORCE.>>NO. LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE.>>THAT IS THE ONLY WAY. THAT IS IT. [APPLAUSE]>>THAT HISTORICAL NONSENSE LIKE SOME OF THE OTHER THINGS YOU SAID.>>THAT IS REALITY.>>LONGEVITY OF THE UNITED STATES HAS GONE DOWN, NOT UP YOU CAN’T IGNORE IT YOU CAN’T SAY WHAT YOU SAY. IT IS NOT CORRECT.>>IMPLYING GROUP THINK THAT IS USING FORCE. INDIVIDUALS DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE. THAT IS ONLY WAY. THAT IT IS FORCE.>>YOU DON’T WANT ME TO SPEAK? IS THAT THE POINT.>>I HEAR THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN BUT THAT IS THE ANSWER. FORCE.>>YOU DON’T WANT TO SPEAK BECAUSE YOU HEARD IT ALREADY. THANK YOU THAT IS KIND OF YOU.>>THANK YOU.>>LET ME EXPLAIN WHY SOCIALISM ISN’T THE PROBLEM HERE. THAT IS LITTLE BIT AFTER AMERICAN HISTORY. IN 1916, FOR THE FIRST TIME THE SOCIALIST PARTY RAN A CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT. GOT 600,000 VOTES, 3% OF THE VOTE. FOUR YEARS LATER THE SOCIALIST PARTY RAN ANOTHER CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT. EUGENE DECKS, GOT 4% OF THE VOTE. 900 MILLION. FOUR YEARS LATER SOCIALIST RAN ANOTHER CANDIDATE, WISCONSIN, 1924. HE RAN FOR PRESIDENT. GOT 5 MILLION VOTES. 1% OF THE TOTAL VOTE. AT POINT THE CAPITAL ITS OF THIS COUNTRY GOT VERY FRIGHTENED FOR GOOD REASON, CAME DOWN ON SOCIALISM WITH THE SAME KIND OF HYSTERICAL DENUNCIATION THAT YOU’RE LISTENING TO HERE. WE HAVE TO COME OUT OF 100 YEARS OF HIBERNATION. EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD HAS SOCIALIST PARTIES THAT ARE PART OF THE CONVERSATION. WE’RE THE COUNTRY THAT IS BEHIND IN THAT AREA. WE NEED TO CATCH UP. BUT WE DON’T HAVE TO IMAGINE IT AS NEW. IT IS IN OUR OWN HISTORY. WE’VE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT. WE’VE BEEN THERE. CHARLES: GREAT POINT, RICHARD.>>WORLD WAR II. YES. CHARLES: FDR SIMPLY MINT AD LOT OF POLICIES THAT THE SOCIALISTS

  1. why are the only people who argues for socialism are in politics, academia, or in civil service of some sort while people on the other side are working in the competitive private sector.

  2. Socialists always deny capitalists credit for the risk they undertake when building the institutions that provide jobs. Workers are NOT partners in the workplace with the owners. Workers take no risk. Owners take all the risk of failure. If the workplace produces a LOSS at the end of the year the workers still get paid by law. The owners have to cover the losses. The workers can leave and find other work. They are NOT left holding the bag if the business fails. The owners are on the hook. That is risk. That means on the other end of the spectrum if the workplace produces a profit, the owners are entitled to that profit. Workers assume no risk of loss and so assume no benefit of profit.

  3. There is no Socialism that is not backed up by Capitalism or continues its rhetoric of "Socialism Works" without the backing of Capitalism or the money from other Capitalist countries…. show me one Socialist country, and I mean one country that is 100% baked by its socialist Ideas and no influence or influx of money from Capitalist countries. We already know that answer.

  4. he is correct economics is the one department that is pro captialism. the only one… in the entire university. GENERALLY.

  5. It's ironic how the only fat person up there is the one that complains about income inequality and praises socialism

  6. According to the data I found on the DOL website 60% of Americans make less than $20/hr. You cant build wealth at any sort of meaningful rate at that rate. Force is how things have been done … since the beginning of time. Even Rome fell due to force, people around them got tired of force used against them so they retaliated.

  7. Yes, Capitalism has put us on top of the world. But we should change it because being on top is no good????
It's very hard to take an 18 yr old seriously in torn jeans and looking like she is headed to the mall….
I was born and lived poor. At 18 I left my small town with 10 dollars in my pocket (from my dad), sweated my way up, saved my pennies, and made my life happen by doing what I had to do. I am now 59, retired twice, and have yet to touch my Social Security. I have been to college but have no degree. I will be starting another business at the end of this year after taking a few months off for my grandchild. On a side note I am also a proud Native American and have never asked any one for a hand out or to pay my way. My dad had a bumper sticker on the back of his work truck "I Fight Poverty, I Work". I have remembered that all my life. Thank You Capitalism and Thank You America. Grow up children. If you want it, go get it yourself!

  8. Should’ve asked how they plan to keep progressing when you have to deal with bickering over coops on how a company should be run; how would these companies get the capital to begin.

  9. After the Great Depression most were poor, so the dig in pay between none and a bit is obviously going to be closer.

    That is a ridiculous comparison

  10. i cant belive this guy is teaching our kids he is so out of touch with the real world is that socialism doesnt not work.

  11. He is a capitalist success story and now he wants to take that from others. The world has changed. Back when he went to school they taught capitalism and that generations had plenty of opertunity now days they teach socialism and the opertunity has been going down.

  12. The hilarity of socialism is that if instituted (workers owning the means of production), there is no way of preventing it from reverting to capitalism without the use of force.

  13. this little kid didn't say one thing about how to transition into socialism.. she dodged the question and just started talking about nothing.. again, no idea what she's talking about, she's just talking

  14. The young communist in the red shirt doesn't look like she's starving or living rough..just sayin also it's always funny to watch socialist enjoy their constitutional rights

  15. Socialist be like : I feel like….. I feel like…… I feel like…… Feel feel feel feelings feels feelers 🙄

  16. I commend you folks on having this VERY important conversation which has never had more relevance than right now.

I feel "socialism" is simply communism " for dummies" Liberals simply got sick of the stigma the word communism had incurred…..and for good reason….It's NEVER worked , and EXACTLY why illegal immigration is such a heated issue right now, Because they are trying to escape horrid communist dictatorships. I can tell you mathematically making America communist is NOT the logical answer. I find that " socialists" are swayed by the sympathy inducing emotionally motivated propaganda over facts and science.

No nation is perfect, and we have work to do to create a more perfect union, but socialism IS NOT THE ANSWER.

  17. I like how he points to China. Mao, in his effort to change China from an agricultural society to an industrial one, killed 40 million of his own people. China also is not free, and must restrict the rights and freedoms of its people to maintain this "great socialist nation" despite the fact they still operate economic zones that run on 100% capitalist ideals. I will also mention that the chinese people have no ability to stand up and demand reform inside a system that has clearly left people behind (look at a chinese slum city, and you will see what socialism looks like). One of Maos first acts was to disarm his populace. We in the US are uniquely positioned that we have the ability to stand up to real oppression because our forefathers bleed for the freedom which we enjoy, and understood there might be a day, where a citizen may again have to bleed to prevent tyranny and oppression. I love that I live in a country that whether I succeed or fail is in my hands, not the hands of some government asshat that thinks they know everything. Long Live the Republic.

  18. The unemployment rate being low and our economy being strong is Translating into our lives.
People have more now, than under Obama.

  19. This guy believes all the other Nations are socialist and that's great. He believes America needs to catch up to Those countries.
1st America isn't the Only Capitalist Nation.
2nd since there are many socialist nations, why Change America?
Why doesn't he just move to a Socialist Nation of his choice?
And Leave Our Nation of Freedom Alone!!!!

  20. gotta love it when the right and pro-capitalist use historical singular events as a general rule that hold no causation and takes things out of context to prove their point even though when you bring in the context their argument falls apart. Incredible. The left are crazy but they dont do that!

  21. do not care for socialism this country should always be capitalistic, but we do have some big problems like super high cost of university and housing. Everything is costing more but wages have not gone up with the increase of living. especially in the past 10years

  22. The value of all mass produced goods comes from the labor that goes into making them. Labor is the people who design, engineer, manufacture, and transport the goods. You need land, resources, and labor to produce something. Capitalists hold hostage(aka privately own) the land, resources, and machinery needed for production and thus the rest of us have no choice but to labor for them in order to survive. Capitalists contribute nothing to the process of production – that's what they have us for. Capitalism is a system based on coercion of the working-class and the private appropriation of the land and resources that belong to everyone.

  23. "All other countries have socialist parties and we're behind." – USA is the most powerful country ever to exist on the planet. Uhmmm who is doing the catching up here exactly?

  24. the wage gap has been debunked for years there is no wage gap infact if there is it shows women are ahead of men in some proffessions so should women get paid less ?

  25. This kind of format is a catastrophe. It allows people like this libertarian crackpot sitting on the left to get away with arguments that could hardly be more fallacious. It allows her to get away with things she knows wouldn't hold up to 5 seconds of scrutiny from someone like Wolff, because the host simply steps in after that.
This is a format where short, quippy statements win, not logic.

  26. Under socialism means of production is under government ,dictator,it determines your wages, may give you less or imprison you no voting to replace him, incompatible with American characters.

  27. You can really tell fox is actually terrified, Professor Wolfe got completely overtalked in the middle of his speaking all program long

  28. He claims that in universities there are no arguments for socialism but then why is the percentage of advocates for socialism in universities the highest of any group? It seems he's wrong.

  29. Great discussion, but I didn't particularly care for the way that arrogant, ego driven, jacka.. ct (Kennedy) disrespected the professor. He was absolutely right, most of what she eluded to was nonsense…. but like the average, loud-mouth, numbskull of the feminist persuasion that didn't matter at all to her, because we all know that yelling over people automatically makes you right. All Facts & History be damned, smh.

He's well studied/ versed in both economics and history, unlike herself, but yet she wanted to argue with him, smh. Madness!

  30. Ever notice how those advocating socialism start their arguments with 'I feel like…', or 'It feels to me like…'?

  31. It's funny how they have only 2 people for socialism, but are tagging in one 1%er after the other to fight them to make it look like so many people are in favour of capitalism :p The people in the background who clap for capitalism are the most uneducated people in the world. If not for socialst policies there would be no roads, no airports, no bridges, no fire department, no police, no hospitals, nothing. The USA are on the brink of extinction of 90% of all people because of capitalism.

  32. Human Cain won the first debate in the Republican party. In my opinion both Major parties seeing what he could do they got together yet these women are to testify falsely against him. Yes my opinion is a railroaded him out at the presidential campaigns.

  33. So who is socialist dude? Is that made another statement these people that want socialism it seemed very rich would they give the money to the poor?

  34. Wonder why none of the Socialist guest live in a socialist country? If it's so great and so fair why not live there instead of here? I can tell you why wish they make all the money off of capitalism. They sell books money they go and give lectures more money and so on.

  35. Follow this wolf in sheep’s clothing and you can expect to see at a later point in America a Venezuelan type government and boy they are in a real mess! Watch on YouTube the videos of what is going on in that country today and you might rethink socialism!!!!!

  36. For the people who haven’t taken a closer look at socialism I used the term about Mr Wolf as a wolf in sheep’s clothing? That’s because he is a Fabian socialist! Google the Fabian Society and then you will understand what I want you to understand what I’m saying!

  37. Also to study the subject? All you have to do is google:how many kids of socialism are there and go from there! Hint (4) that are the most popular!

  38. What rights, no not these stupid entitlements, but real rights that ever individual has, must be taken away for socialism?

    Please tell me.

  39. I swear, Kennedy is so utterly full of ish it's laughable, not to mention poorly informed. She just wanted to be cute, show off her big legs, & be a thirst trap for beta horn dogs…Beyond that she brought nothing to the panel whatsoever. She is what is known as an educated fool, & worse she has no sense of structure or empathy beyond the self kind. Typical Millennial.

  40. If there is no reward for hard work then nobody will work hard, Its not a economic issue it's human behavior . I will work hard for me but not you, sorry.

  41. Kennedy’s brain is stuffed so tightly into the wage box that she can’t see outside the box! With equal wealth worldwide and no tiny wage, billions of people can be doctors and scientists, helping find cures to diseases, and billions can invent many things! So capitalism stops progress by causing world poverty! She truly cannot see the wage is the cause of world poverty! Geez! That’s so UFB!

  42. Well 70 years ago when I was in college nobody shouted anybody down for talking about Capitalism, therefore you're wrong.
    U wot.

  43. Besides Kennedy, and the other capitalists, interrupting the socialists view, and the panel  drowning  them out.  I can go on and on .  Capitalists main argument is where will the money come from, and all they can imagine is higher Taxes, Foooy. take from the 2% those ILL GOTEN GAINS they have accumulated by first RIGGING, then PLAYING THE SYSTEM They helped create by changing laws that were in there way, influencing our politicians through there LOBIESTS to vote a certain way or they threaten to not fund there election campaigns.  or MUCH WORSE !

  44. The problem is Socialism is government owned and run. There is no freedom. No chance to raise ones self higher. No incentive to create. That being said to reconstruct corporate structure would not be a bad thing. If workers have a stake in the business they will work harder. It does take a person with a vision to create that company. If he cannot profit from it he has no incentive to create that company to begin with. It takes venture capital to grow that company. The people providing this will want their share of the profit or they have no incentive to invest. This is where the boards come in. It takes continued investment to grow a business to the stage where they are profitable enough for workers to take a larger stake. There are many costs to this company, legal, infrastructure etc etc etc. The people that are handling all if these at the too get paid high. If not then where is their incentive to do their highly specific jobs that the average person does not have a clue how to handle. Maybe some law that forces them to give to employees. …oh wait that is more government interference that we don't want. These multimillionaires and billionaires at the top of the food chain do donate a great deal to societal charities. They create jobs is the best thing that they do. What we need is to remove government shackles. Since the 1990's government trade agreements have lost our jobs to other nations. The housing crisis was caused by the government going back to Bill Clinton's administration, oh yeah he was responsible for NAFTA also which lost many jobs. The best we can do is fight to keep our manufacturing and other jobs here. The auto industry was paying about $40/hr. The steel industry was the same. All without any college. Obama's administration touted go to college while he closed our industries. Thank God this is now being reversed. Be patient our young socialists. Be prepared to work. Jobs are coming home. Be proud to be. Steel worker or auto worker or any industry you choose. These jobs paid well, gave free healthcare on top of that pay. We need to get back to a nation that is proud to work instead of wanting a handout.

  45. I find it culturally and ethnically offensive and humiliating that western liberals think they can do better job with Marxism then the Slavic, China, Vietnam,CAMBODIA , or South America. Now that's Very supermacistic THINKING 🤔 🙄🤥🤥

  46. If someone wants an more liberal employee owned company then why are none of these Democrat socialists starting a company structured like this? There is nothing stopping them from doing it today…….

  47. Professor Wolff has 10 times your intellect you fuckin' Fox bimbo. STFU while he's trying to teach you something about the world you live in.

  48. i would like to know why all these socialists are not poor. they speak for everyone else, but they all look like they are doing okay.

  49. For one, you will never get a large group of people to agree on how to do something. Business works because only a few make the decisions and the others follow the orders. Just imagine trying their socialism way in the military, you would have a total failure of getting anything done. I like how no one will answer the question of how to pay for it all. My guess is because they dont know either.

  50. 3 Ivy League degrees, never heard anyone support the economics of socialism… Why? I think the question answers itself.

  51. If you’re actually stupid enough like Kennedy to get a tattoo of a Republican elephant on your body then you’re too stupid to be on the same debate stage as Richard Wolff
