Beasts Of No Nation Movie Review | Idris Elba

hi guys Nick from Talk n review so this
review is going to be on beasts of no nation so this was a wasn’t a film that
was on my radar it wasn’t even a film that I went out to watch so it wasn’t
until my brother-in-law said can i watch this film
I haven’t finished watching it yet so he wanted to start watching it from scratch
so I said yeah why not let’s let’s watch it so if you don’t know the story the
stories around some experiences of a child called Argo and he’s basically a
child soldier within a civil war in Africa the film is directed by Cary
Fukunaga and if you don’t know who he is he directed the amazing season one of
true detective with Woody Harrelson Matthew McConaughey the film also stars
Aegis Elba as one of the Warlord’s within the film the film starts off
following our Guk so you see him with his family and the
interactions thanks having the live stardates living in and basically what
happens is the rebels come into his city basically take over and they literally
kill majority of his family this then leaves our gu i think he’s only about
nine or ten to fend for himself he runs off into the jungle and when he’s in
there this is when he bumps into eat Roselle burrs character and his little
army of rebels what I’m doing yeah and this is where he
bought Aegis elbers character believes that all goo is a another rebel trying
to attack his soldiers so yeah he scares the little boy uses some tactics like do
you want this guy to eat you jus want me to chop your arm off so it’s very
realistic and you can imagine that this could happen in real life I think the
first thing that you’ll notice about the film is how beautiful it is
it looks amazing I remember saying to my brother-in-law
it baffles me how they manage to make these films with landscape shots that
they got and the the realism that they had within this film I think the film
really shows the harsh realities of war and the writing in this film is amazing
especially when you seen it from all guzik’s perspective through his eyes
there’s some really disturbing scenes in the film and one comes to mind where
each of Elvis character is making a goo kill one of these men and he’s pushed na
goo saying these people have killed your family you need to kill him you need to
do this to make sure that you stay within the rebel crew as such and yeah
and then what Intel’s afterwards is very brutal it looks realistic and it’s very
harrowing to think these sort of things do happen the child actors in this film
are absolutely amazing especially Abraham Atta who plays argu some of
their scenes that he has to do being that age and him really pulling it off
making it believable and realistic and it wouldn’t be easy for someone on that
age to do that type of scene so the the acting is fantastic
EJ’s Alba yep always good brings a really good performance to this film my
only gripe with his character is a dress he looks very polished compared to
everyone else it just looks like indras Alba and what I would have preferred
this ring to go in with a different look or have like a big scar down his face or
something that makes him not look like it’s just dangerous Elba doing a
fantastic performance in the really good film so yeah that’s my only gripe but he
put fantastic performance in did a really good accent so there’s not a lot
of dialogue in this film but when there is dialogue like I said before it’s
written really really well and it has the impact that he’s supposed to so I
definitely say go give this a watch and I believe he’s won it was one of the
first Netflix original films that came out back in 2015 so yeah give it a watch
it was just random film that I checked out and really enjoyed it so yeah big
