We’ve just finished a road trip around Northern Ireland, and on the way, we picked up a bunch of snacks. We’re going to eat them and see how they taste. Let’s go! One of the most requested snacks from all of our viewers were the Taytos Taytos…kind of like saying potato. We saw these ones; they’re interesting. They look like french fries…Chipsticks. Dude, they’re french fries. Yumm. They have the consistency of a Cheeto, yeah, totally, but they’re shaped like a McDonald’s french fry. Sorry, just got something stuck in my throat. All right, there? They have the consistency of a Cheeto, and they have the salt and vinegar taste, which is how a lot of people here in Ireland eat their chips, or their fries. It’s a little bit too vinegary for me. I really like the character, Potato Man. He kind of looks like Mr Potato Head. I probably wouldn’t eat this normally, but it’s pretty good. It’s not bad. I’d say if you were sitting at a bar watching a footie game.. It could be good… like a red ale. Talking about drinks… We don’t have red ale, but we have red TK Lemonade. Apparently, a lot of people here drink this with Southern Comfort. We don’t have any Southern Comfort. We will just drink it solo. Kind of looks like cough syrup. It went in my eye. Ready, Bro? Cheers. To you, Ireland. Syrupy. Sprite. Conclusion: Probably better with South Comfort but not all together undrinkable. Next up we have the Figrolls, which look to be the Irish version of Fig Newtons. These would be Fig O’Donnels Why, Newton? Fig McMurphys They’re good. Definitely less fig than a Fig Newton. It’s more like a little biscuit. It’s good. Definitely a biscuit. By the way, if you’re Irish, let us know what you think about our reactions…. if this is accurate, or if you eat them differently. Figrolls…thumbs-up. Yeah, I’d give them a thumbs-up. I think it’s the best thing so far. So next up we have these little things. What are these guys called? Mikados. Mikados…kind of looks like a female reproductive organ. It’s definitely made with marshmallow. Looks like it’s got some coconut on there and then maybe some jam in the middle, all on top of a little biscuit. Oh, it’s so soft. It’s very pillowy. It’s like biting into a cloud. It’s so nice. A little pink Irish cloud. So far this is my favorite. I like this. I like the Mikado. I would eat this and probably even buy this on a guilty trip. Next up: cheese, Bro. Wash it down with some red lemonade. What are these things? We’re going to be trying out Jacob’s Cream Crackers. What are cream crackers? I think it’s a creamy cracker. We’ve got some cheese. We bought some really nice cheese at the market in Belfast. Dude, this stuff is rank, Bro. Cheese is mold, Bro. A little bit stanky. Ew that does smell. It smells like a dirty diaper. Yeah, I like that. Cheese number one….this is from Gubbeen This is a cheese maker in County Cork, in the south of Ireland. We were actually there last year on our last trip to Ireland. Let’s try the cracker first, and then we’ll put the cheese on. Tastes like a cracker. Testing Gubbeen cheese What’s the name of this one? I don’t remember what the name was. It’s a really nice cheese. Smokey. OMG. It’s very nice. It’s like smoked semi-hard…. I’m semi-hard right now. [Laughs] Way too much information. Put your cheese boner away, Brother. That cheese is smooshed. I did accidentally stand on it when we were coming in here, but it was wrapped. So don’t worry. My foot….. I stood on it when we were coming to film. Oh s**t. I’m excited about this. You can have that one. No, you can try some, too. Mark is like….you’re a cheese pervert. I just read a study that said: cheese is as addictive as drugs. I can totally understand that. Ready? You sure you don’t want to try this, young buck? I don’t know. It’s been under your boot heel. Under my boot. I bought this in the market in Belfast yesterday Really strong. Creamy. Yeah, when you smell it, it really smells like an old pair of shoes. Are you sure it’s not because you stepped on it earlier? No, it could be. All right. Can I open one? Next up we have the one Euro. One Euro, no. These are called Kimberley, and it looks like from the package that it’s like a white Oreo. Here we go. That’s what those guys look like. There are crystals of sugar on it. Is it a marshmallow? It’s not like an Oreo. It’s not the Oreo cream. Ginger. I don’t like it. I would not eat this. Wilton Macaroon Bar. Chocolate. Yeah, now we’re getting sweet. That’s just pure chocolate. Is it? Milk chocolate. It’s just chocolate. Nice. Speaking about old school…… we’re about to eat something they have been eating in Ireland for a very, very long time. Seaweed….wild Atlantic seaweed. On the back here, it says there’s a warning: It says, “As these are totally natural products, some packs could contain grit, or small crustaceans”. It says you are supposed to store it in a cool ,dry place. We didn’t. We stored it in our car for the last week, and it’s now covered in mold. Oh no. And also there’s a full-on colony of mussels. It’s probably not safe to eat, but the Irish have been eating seawed for a long time, and they would eat this like a snack, instead of having chips, or whatever.. It’s really healthy for you. It’s really good. We’ve eaten it a lot in the last two trips that we’ve done to Ireland. We’ve gone out on kayaks and harvested seaweed straight from the ocean and made a delicious salad with it. I personally really enjoy eating seaweed. Because we can’t eat that, we’re going to move on to the final round…something sweet.. Colleen Irish Assortment of Chocolates. it says a mix of toffee, eclairs, caramels, and boiled sweets. Now what is a boiled sweet? I don’t know. I’m going to try the Irish Butter Toffee. You want this one? The caramel is good. OMG. I feel like I’m going to get diabetes. You know what this tastes like? It tastes like the candy corns you get at Halloween. It does. Candy corns probably copied this sort of stuff. Probably. What’s your favorite thing of all the things we’ve just tried? Hands down. No question. Mikado. Cheese aside because I know you’re going to say cheese. Probably the Irish Butter Toffee. Yeah?     With the Jacobs crackers, I used to put butter and strawberry jam on it.
    It was beautiful and it brings me back home.

  11. If you are really going to try Tayto you should try cheese and onion, beef, prawn cocktail or spring onion. You can visit the factory which is in a castle in Tandragee northern Ireland.
